1. Introduction

Welcome to Beedeg Shipping Ghana Ltd (“Beedeg,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
These Terms and Conditions govern all logistics, shipping, and consultancy services provided by Beedeg, including but not limited to Imports & Exports Distribution, International Sea & Air Freight, Dangerous Goods Handling, Warehousing, and Customs Brokerage.

By accessing our website, booking shipments, or using our logistics solutions, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.


2. Scope of Services

Beedeg Shipping Ghana Ltd provides comprehensive logistics and freight forwarding solutions, including:

  • Imports & Exports Distribution – End-to-end management of import and export operations.
  • International Sea & Air Freight – Global freight forwarding via major air and ocean carriers.
  • Dangerous Goods Specialist (IATA & IMDG) – Certified handling, documentation, and transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Office & Household Removals – Local and international relocation services for homes and corporate offices.
  • Cargo Handling & Packing – Professional cargo securing, packaging, and container loading/unloading.
  • Door-to-Door Delivery – Full pickup, transport, and delivery to final destination.
  • Consolidation & Deconsolidation – Grouping or separation of cargo for cost-efficient shipping.
  • Warehousing & Ex-Warehousing – Secure storage, inventory management, and dispatch.
  • Customs Brokerage – Documentation, tariff classification, and customs clearance at ports and airports.
  • Hauling/Trucking – Inland and cross-border road transport across Ghana and West Africa.
  • Project Cargo – Specialized transport for heavy-lift, oversize, and industrial equipment.
  • Consultancy Services – Logistics and supply chain advisory for trade, compliance, and cost optimization.
  • Transit & Transshipment – Cross-border logistics and cargo movement between international ports.
  • Multimodal Transport Operator (MTO) – Integrated transport solutions combining sea, air, and land freight.

We may add, modify, or discontinue services at any time without prior notice.


3. Booking & Contractual Relationship

  • A valid service contract is created when:
  • The client accepts a quotation in writing or electronically.
  • Beedeg confirms acceptance and issues a reference or tracking number.
  • Payment or deposit is received as agreed.

All quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.


4. Client Responsibilities

Clients must:

  • Provide accurate cargo descriptions, weights, and measurements.
  • Ensure goods are packed, labeled, and documented correctly.
  • Comply with Ghanaian and international trade, transport, and customs laws.
  • Not include restricted or illegal goods without written authorization.
  • Failure to comply may result in delay, penalty, seizure, or cancellation of shipment.

5. Pricing and Payment Terms

All rates are quoted in Ghanaian Cedis (GHS) or USD and exclude duties, taxes, and third-party fees unless otherwise stated.

  • Payment is required before shipment dispatch unless credit terms are approved.
  • Late payments attract a 2% monthly surcharge.
  • Beedeg reserves the right to withhold delivery until full payment is received.

6. Cargo Handling & Delivery

  • Cargo handling is performed according to international standards (IATA, IMO, IMDG, ISO).
  • Estimated delivery times are indicative only and may vary due to customs, weather, or third-party delays.
  • Door-to-door deliveries are subject to accessibility and security conditions.
  • Clients must inspect and report any damage within 48 hours of receiving cargo.

7. Customs & Regulatory Compliance

Beedeg acts as an agent for clients to facilitate customs clearance but is not liable for penalties or delays arising from inaccurate declarations or prohibited cargo.
Clients are responsible for providing correct tariff codes, permits, and documentation.

We strictly adhere to Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), CEPS, and international trade compliance standards.


8. Dangerous Goods Handling

As a certified IATA & IMDG Dangerous Goods Specialist, Beedeg handles hazardous cargo with strict compliance.
Clients must declare all dangerous goods with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and proper packaging.
Undeclared hazardous cargo will result in termination of service and may attract legal penalties.


9. Insurance and Risk

Beedeg is not an insurer.

Clients are encouraged to purchase cargo insurance through Beedeg or third-party insurers before shipment.
Risk transfers to the client once cargo is handed to the carrier unless insured.

Beedeg is not liable for loss due to acts of God, war, natural disasters, port congestion, or third-party carrier negligence.


10. Limitation of Liability

  • Liability is limited to the freight cost or the declared cargo value, whichever is lower.
  • Beedeg shall not be liable for indirect losses such as business interruption or lost profits.
  • Claims must be submitted in writing within 14 days for visible loss or 30 days for non-delivery.

11. Warehousing and Storage

All warehousing is at the owner’s risk unless insured.

Storage charges accrue after 5 free days (or as per contract).

Beedeg may dispose of unclaimed cargo after 90 days with prior notice.


12. Confidentiality and Data Protection

All client and shipment data are confidential.
Beedeg complies with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and will not share client data without consent except where required by law.


13. Intellectual Property

All website content, software, and branding are the property of Beedeg Shipping Ghana Ltd.
Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is strictly prohibited.


14. Termination

Beedeg may terminate services immediately if:

  • Client fails to pay fees.
  • False or illegal cargo information is provided.
  • Services are used for unlawful purposes.

Upon termination, outstanding balances become immediately payable.


15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
Disputes shall be settled through arbitration in Accra, and if unresolved, in a competent Ghanaian court.
